DCS Seniors Vikram Saralaya and Prakash V Rao, representing V.T.U and Mangalore University respectively, showed stupendous performance helping their Universities get good placings in the All India Inter University Chess Championship organised at Kanpur from 27th Otober to 1st November.
V.T.U scored 24.5 points in total 9 rounds, where Vikram playing 1st Board had a lion share of 8 points out of 9. Team was placed 4th.
Mangalore Universitry scorerd 20 points in 9 rounds and was placed 27th (improving previous position of 36th last year). Prakash Rao playing 3rd board greatly contributed to the team by scoring 8.5 points in 9 games.
